John G. Schmitz
Le terme John G. Schmitz est cité dans le Wikipedia de langue anglaise. Il est défini comme suit:

John George Schmitz (August 12, 1930 – January 10, 2001) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives and California State Senate from Orange County, California. He was also a member of the John Birch Society. In 1972 he was the American Independent Party candidate for President of the United States, later known as the American Party.
Schmitz was notable for his extreme right-wing sympathies. By one measure, he was found to be the third most conservative member of Congress between 1937 and 2002, and the ultra-conservative John Birch Society, of which Schmitz was a longtime leader, later expelled him for extremist rhetoric.
On October 25, 1971 Schmitz composed an introduction to the highly controversial book None Dare Call it Conspiracy written by Gary Allen with Larry Abraham.
In 1982, after it was revealed—and Schmitz admitted—that he had engaged in an extra-marital affair and fathered two children with one of his former college students, Schmitz's career as a politician effectively ended, as did his wife Mary's as a conservative political commentator.[citation needed]
Two of Schmitz's children, sons John and Joseph, have held prominent posts in Republican presidential administrations.[citation needed] Son Joseph Schmitz has also worked for the international security firm Blackwater USA.[citation needed]

John G. Schmitz, Former Congressman From Orange County - SFGate
John G. Schmitz, the colorful former congressman, state senator and presidential candidate who was a leading voice of the California Republican Party's right wing during the 1960s and '70s, died Tuesday in Washington, D.C. The 70-year-old had battled cancer for several years. An ardent anti-Communist, Mr. Schmitz was elected to the state Senate in 1964 and became an outspoken supporter of conservative causes like states' rights and the anti-abortion movement. "Congressman John G. Schmitz played a significant role as a state senator and a member of the House of Representatives during a very colorful era of politics in the Orange County community," said Orange County Republican Party Chairman Thomas A. Fuentes. Mr. Schmitz was born and raised in Milwaukee and spent eight years in the Marine Corps, where he was a second lieutenant and a helicopter pilot from 1952 to 1960. Since 1995 Mr. Schmitz had been president of Chapelle Charlemagne, a family- owned vineyard in Virginia.
